Recently a young construction worker, Arthur Kerns, died in a preventable trench collapse construction accident. As IOSHA lawyers we know all too well the foreseeable dangers in work site trenching. There can be various causes from lack of training, lack of proper equipment, or trench boxes – regardless – they are ALWAYS preventable. Often the employer and the general contractor are charged with the duty to keep our Indiana Workers safe.

Our prayers go out to Arthur’s family – they are the real victims in this incident – I hope they hold the responsible parties accountable for this tragedy.
